We are seeking a Head of Department (Curriculum) to lead the implementation of curriculum across the nine classes and four specialist teachers who work within the school.
Yungaburra State School is a school of 210 students on the picturesque Atherton Tablelands.
This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About the Role
As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Curriculum planning support for classroom teachers
- Focus on advancing the curriculum development of the Australian Curriculum V9
- Management of school social media
- Management of parent/teacher interviews processes and booking systems
- Management of timetabling
- Management of school data systems (curriculum)
- Line management of Teacher Aide capability development and professional goals
- Curriculum activity risk assessments
- Excursion planning support and curriculum approvals
- Officer in charge of the school when Principal is off-site
- Behaviour management support as required
Key considerations for your suitability for the role include:
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to lead teams of teachers and/or curriculum implementation
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Curriculum structure
- Ability to work as a team and autonomously on directed tasks
- High level critical thinking and problems solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders
