Senior Data Analyst, Policy & Data Integration

The Queensland Mental Health Commission has had custodianship of the Queensland Suicide Register (QSR) and interim QSR (iQSR).

The QSR records all confirmed suicides of Qld residents once coronial investigations are complete. The iQSR provides real-time monitoring by capturing interim data on suspected suicides shortly after they occur.

These registers contain suspected and confirmed suicides from 1990, and hundreds of variables.

Reporting to the Manager, Data and Policy Integration, the Senior Data Analyst role has been established on a trial basis to support the use of the QSR and iQSR to better inform the identification of data insights, research opportunities and knowledge translation into policy and programs to drive system reform.

The role will provide high level data analysis and exploration to support the identification and monitoring of emerging policy issues and trends.
