The Administration Officer is responsible for providing general administrative support for the licensing and compliance function of the Council including processing applications, administering payments and being the first point of contact for applicant enquiries.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support for the assessment and processing of applications made under the Act, ensuring that processes are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation, delegations, policies and procedures
  • Providing prompt and courteous support to applicants by responding to enquiries, assisting with application processes, and ensuring accurate information is communicated in line with organisational procedures
  • Assisting with the preparation of clear, accurate and compliant written documents to support decision-making and application processes.

The successful person

To be successful in this position, you will need to be a clear written and verbal communicator, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will be required to deliver high level administrative and project support, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment as they arise.

The ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment with the ability to undertake varied responsibilities with a positive and adaptable attitude will be required.

Whilst not essential, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
