The Public Health Intelligence (PHI) Branch are looking for an Assistant Application Support Officer (RTPM) to join their team. In this role you will provide high levels of system support, and data management to facilitate the collection and maintenance of high-quality data for Queensland’s real-time prescription monitoring (RTPM) system, QScript. You will also provide administrative support to the broader team.

What you'll do

  • Undertake high levels of monitoring and quality assurance activities to ensure timely and quality electronic submissions of medication event data are received to comply with the department's regulatory obligations under Queensland legislation.
  • Maintain operational registers which support QScript's business as usual and strategic management and governance arrangements.
  • Participate in, report on, and contribute new ideas to inform system management, data collection, data quality and future system enhancements.
  • Source key data from external agencies that can be used to verify the quality of data in information systems.
  • Develop information resources, deliver training and provide best practice advice to information system users.
  • Manage sensitive information and knowledge in line with applicable legislation and organisational policy, particularly the confidentiality and privacy of health-related information.
  • Provide support to management for meeting management, information-sharing documentation development, correspondence management and record keeping requirements, as required.

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience, or the ability to acquire the ability to proficiently operate health application software and associated business intelligence tools such as Power BI as well as Microsoft Office Suite software
  • An ability to analyse high volume data query results to monitor for, identify and rectify data quality issues, across a large scope of data providers.
  • Knowledge of health system management, design, and operations, including QScript or similar systems, with a willingness to learn and develop further expertise.
  • A high level of written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to provide clear information to stakeholders and facilitate improvements to data collection and quality.
