About the Division

The Corporate Services Division provides a range of high-level services and support for QRA to achieve its strategic priorities. These services include finance, digital services and ICT (Information Communication Technology), information management and security, governance, procurement, human resources, workplace health and safety and facilities services as well as having a role in the frontline delivery of the grant programs.

About the Role

You will provide a high level of support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and operate as a trusted business partner for QRA's Executive and Leadership teams in establishing and ensuring the highest standards of governance, risk management, planning and performance.

  • Establish a holistic Corporate Governance and Performance function - establishing the frameworks, policies, procedures, tools and structures for, and leading and coordinating the monitoring and reporting of corporate governance, risk management and performance against strategic and operational plans.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders that contribute to the effective delivery of the Governance and Performance function.
  • Stand up and oversee the successful implementation of executive and management governance committees to drive and manage statutory compliance, risk (and fraud and corruption) reporting and mitigation, operational performance and policy and strategic prioritisation across the organisation.
  • Identify, foster and promote best practice Governance and Performance programs and initiatives across the organisation that enable the delivery of current and future strategic and operational demands and drive agency capability and performance.
  • Implement project delivery and enterprise change frameworks, policies, tools and structures to enable the evaluation, prioritisation, delivery and reporting of change and projects that align with QRA strategic direction and operational priorities.
  • Produce relevant QRA board, executive and committee reporting and briefing materials to a high standard.
  • Provide high level strategic analysis and advice to the CFO and QRA Leadership team.
  • Provide design, leadership, direction and support to a multidisciplinary team to enable the successful delivery of Governance and Performance's program of work, with a strong alignment to QRA strategic and operational goals.
  • Understanding of Queensland Government legislative frameworks, policies, and operational guidelines.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, continuous improvement and learning in alignment with QRA and Queensland Public Sector values.
  • Undertake related duties and projects of equivalent complexity as required, including representing the CFO in meetings and forums where appropriate.
  • This role has direct reports and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
