About the Division
Corporate Services Division provides a range of specialised performance enabling functions that supports QRA to meet its compliance obligations, operate efficiently and achieve its strategic priorities.
About the Team
The Applications team support QRA's applications including MARS - the Management and Reporting System developed by QRA to support councils and state agencies with all funding applications administered by QRA. MARS is a Microsoft Dynamics 365-based solution currently hosted on-premise within the QRA server infrastructure.
About the Role
- Develop, enhance and maintain QRA's applications to meet the business and operational needs of both QRA and external stakeholders.
- Work with the team, manager and the senior leadership team in the delivery of applications development and services in a project management approach.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of plans and strategies as well as standards for programming tools and techniques that meet the long-term requirements for applications services in the agency.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of all required documentation, including design documents, quality plans, processes and procedures.
- Rewrite and refactor existing .NET-based APIs to ensure compatibility with the Dynamics 365 cloud architecture, improving scalability, maintainability, and security in the new environment.
- Assist with planning and executing the data migration from Dynamics 365 on-premise to the cloud, including data mapping, transformation, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Contribute to the development of innovative technical solutions through development of purpose-built applications.
- Ensure high quality standards and processes are met with regards to unit testing, peer review, technical documentation and adequate handover to ICT support teams.
- Develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively participate as a member of the delivery teams including contributing at all agile ceremonies and team meetings as required.
- Identify and report issues and risks.
- Undertake tasks as required to support the regular delivery of new and changing functionality to the users as a member of a cross-functional team. This Includes but is not limited to training and training material.
- Provide specialist technical advice to team management on opportunities to improve, expand and integrate QRA's applications services within the organisation and across government.
- Undertake other duties of equivalent complexity as required.
- This role reports to the Manager, Applications.
