About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to Manage, supervise the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital (RBWH), Building Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) trade staff and operations, and allocate resources with the objective of ensuring the provision of effective and efficient section services
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Proven ability in managing an Electrical Services team and ensuring high-quality service delivery and demonstrate excellent knowledge of all relevant Australian standards, including AS/NZS 3000: 2018 (Electrical Installations), AS/NZS 3003: 2018 (Electrical installations in medical locations), AS/NZS 3760: 2010 (In-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment) and AS/NZS 4836: 2011 (Safe working on or near low-voltage electrical installations), as well as their application in a hospital environment.
- Comprehensive experience in and an extensive knowledge of the desired level of trade skills within work environments similar to that found in Health Facility engineering maintenance and installation service organisation.
- Proven ability to supervise trade staff, prioritise works, accomplish project time frames and make responsible recommendations, while fostering an efficient team.
- Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively both verbal and in writing with staff from all levels of various organisations
