About the role
Responsible for providing, developing and maintaining an efficient, effective and confidential administration support service to the unit. This position operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position while maintaining open channels of communication between all staff within the unit and other members of multidisciplinary teams. This role is also an integral member of the Maternity services administration team and will be required to provide professional, efficient and confidential client focussed support services to patients and multidisciplinary health care providers with whom the position liaises.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Manage and undertake all administrative duties relative to the Obstetric Medicine Unit, including maintaining an electronic diary of meetings, ensuring optimal usage of available time and act as primary point of contact for the unit for all incoming and outgoing communication.
- Perform a wide range of administrative tasks, including liaising with CMORE for the administrative support for the recruitment of Registrar and SMO staff.
- Complete functions associated with payroll, rostering and mandatory training including maintaining the database, utilising systems such as myHR, Core Scheduling (rostering system), TMS and Access Manager.
- Prepare and format reports, correspondence, forms, and presentations, demonstrating intermediate level skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365.
- Coordinate Obstetric Medical SMO rosters to initiate, plan and distribute effective and efficient rosters.
- Prepare, upload, and maintain O&G SMO day, after-hours, and ward round rosters to SharePoint systems within expected time frames.
