About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to manage the operational aspects of the Orthopaedics (Orthopaedics, Trauma, Urology, Haemophilia) clinical physiotherapy service, including liaison with clinical teams of external facilities to ensure the continuum of care for patients transferring between facilities. Deliver advanced level physiotherapy clinical services and provide leadership, education, and supervision for the RBWH Physiotherapy Orthopaedics work unit and other areas as required.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Actively maintain professional development for own professional standards and to enhance the skills and knowledge of the physiotherapy and wider multi-professional teams.
- Actively contribute to relevant professional and multi-professional collaboratives such as state-wide clinical networks, RBWH clinical service line committees and Departmental / Allied Health Professional committees as required.
- Manage service delivery improvement through the identification and application of policy knowledge, and the development, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement and research activities within the Orthopaedic team, physiotherapy department and wider multi-professional team.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on clinical practices and outcomes within the orthopaedic team.
