About the role
The Endocrinology Research Fellow will develop skills in clinical research within the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes. As per below, the Research Fellow will advance their knowledge of clinical trials within the Endocrine Research Unit, but also have opportunities to lead research in the Endocrine Fellow's area of interest, supported by senior staff members.
About you
Specific tasks of the Endocrinology Research Fellow will include, but not be limited to:
- Identification of eligible clinical trial candidates
- Consenting clinical trial participants
- Performing study visits for clinical trials
- Clinical care of clinical trial participants
- Assessment and reporting of potential adverse events and reviewing participant progress following adverse events in clinical trials
- Liaise closely with Clinical Research nurses to provide clinical oversight and complete clinical trials paperwork for study visits
- Undertake training and regulatory requirements for ongoing clinical trials in the capacity of an Associate Investigator (including Good Clinical Practice training)
- Lead clinical research in endocrinology (under supervision), with or without enrolment in a Research Higher Degree
- Contribute to scholarly research output within the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes
- Successful applicants will be expected to undertake and remain up-to-date with Good Clinical Practice requirements
