About the role

  • The purpose of this role is to deliver senior level physiotherapy services as part of a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive persistent pelvic pain management services within the Tess Cramond Pain and Research Centre (TCPRC).
  • When required this position may also provide services to persistent pain patients within TCPRC.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Independently deliver high level Musculoskeletal (MSK) and pain physiotherapy clinical services within the TCPRC (including high level assessment diagnosis, collaborative case conferencing and treatment interventions for persistent pelvic girdle pain) to patients of MNHHS as part of a multidisciplinary team utilising high level clinical judgement and evidenced based practice in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day management of a small work unit or team within the TCPRC and physiotherapy department - including provision of support for junior physiotherapy staff / students as required.
  • Contribute to the planning, development and review of work practices and systems within the TCPRC through active representation as required at service management meetings. Take an active role in monitoring and reporting of operational or organisational issues, clinical practices, and outcomes within the work unit.
  • Provide high level clinical advice to supervisors, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional clinical standards, workforce issues and clinical service development to enhance teamwork and clinical outcomes within the TCPRC.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of research and quality improvement activities within the TCPRC work unit, physiotherapy department and wider multidisciplinary team.
