About the role
The position will function as part of a multidisciplinary team based at the North Lakes Health Precinct and the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital.
The major strategic purpose of the OPSC service is to offer a uniform and clinically appropriate conservative management pathway by providing early assessment and co-ordinated and comprehensive non-operative management for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
An expected outcome of this position is to achieve optimal patient outcomes through high level treatment skills, consultation and coordination with the multidisciplinary team.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver best practice psychological services to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, e.g. chronic pain, adjustment to disability,
- Deliver best practice clinical psychology skills in assessment, formulation, psychoeducation and individual and group interventions to this patient population,
- High level interpersonal and communication skills in interaction with adult patients and with other health professionals.
