About the role
Provide high quality, effective, efficient, professional administrative support based on accurate and timely information to the Specialist Nutrition Support Team and Gastroenterology Department.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- As the first point of contact for our open access service, this role involves substantial patient interaction. This role is responsible for receiving and triaging patient calls and emails, providing critical support to both patients and the Specialist Nutrition Support Team (SNST).
- Given the varied needs of our patient cohort, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with empathy and professionalism is essential. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills to ensure patients feel supported and their queries are efficiently managed.
- Achieve work targets with limited supervision and contribute to team goals in an ever-changing environment.
- Accurately view, record, and retrieve information from Queensland Health and Microsoft Office systems including ESM, HBCIS, Outlook, ieMR, The Viewer, Telstra TIMS, Microsoft Word/Excel, database applications and Telehealth Virtual Clinic.
- Knowledge of Specialist Outpatient Services Implementation Standard QH-IMP-300-1:201 and Medicare requirements for Bulk billing patients or the ability to rapidly acquire the knowledge.
