About the role
Collaboratively undertake strategic planning for the WBSP and NAH to optimise service delivery and ensure provision of culturally safe and responsive services. Based upon the successful applicants' professional discipline, deliver advanced level clinical services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families, to achieve excellence in patient care, education and research.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, protocols and history including a comprehensive knowledge of issues and priorities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women's health and wellbeing.
- Apply latest evidence and high-level judgement in advising WBSP and NAH staff toward implementing and providing culturally appropriate care pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families.
- Deliver advanced level, independent clinical services within a multidisciplinary team relevant to the applicant's respective profession.
- Contribute to professional governance activities for the multidisciplinary WBSP and NAH team in collaboration with their professional line managers including performance and development planning, performance improvement, cultural supervision and support, clinical education and training.
