About the role
Provide strategic direction and lead the design, development and management of new reporting data models and data warehouses.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide advice and to assist the Director of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine in developing strategies and specific objectives for utilising data and business intelligence to support clinical practice and service improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to define business and functional requirements, establish data models and processes on the anaesthesia workforce information systems to ensure the solution developed will meet the current and future business needs.
- Manage and maintain the anaesthesia workforce system business functions to support generation of overall anaesthetic workplans, team schedules and weekly departmental rosters in accordance with the Medical Officers' Certified Agreement. Develop, manage, review and update system processes and written documentation for management of leave, on call, workplans and administrative support.
- Responsible for the design, development and ongoing management to the workforce analytics solution with provision for current and projected workforce demands, clinical service capacity, clinicians' profile, budgetary implications and anaesthetic trainee's programme.
- Overall management to the day-to-day operation of the current clinical reporting systems. Produce monthly activities and performance reports to the department's director, accreditation reporting for ACHS, ANZCA, ad-hoc performance and analysis reports.
- Lead the development and ongoing management of a contemporary Clinical Informatics business intelligence solutions, including BI solution scoping, data modelling, reports and visualisations, documentation to deliver analytical solution using a variety of business intelligence and reporting tools utilised within the HHS (Qlik, Microsoft Power BI). This includes continual improvement and the production of periodic and ad-hoc dashboards to support quality improvement, patient safety, clinical audits, clinical benchmarking, research and strategic planning.
