About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide advanced clinical leadership, education, and supervision in neonatal physiotherapy within the Grantley Stable Neonatal Unit at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care and leading service improvement and research initiatives to enhance neonatal outcomes.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide professional leadership and direction for the delivery of neonatal physiotherapy clinical services, utilising expert clinical knowledge and skills to achieve optimal outcomes for complex neonatal cases.
  • Integrate evidence-based practice with expert knowledge to lead and collaboratively develop physiotherapy professional standards and directly influence multidisciplinary neonatal care practices.
  • Lead and coordinate innovative neonatal care within the GSNU and BOPPS teams, providing strategic direction, clinical training, mentoring, supervision, and support for high-quality service delivery.
  • Lead and collaborate on relevant quality improvement and research initiatives within the neonatal team and physiotherapy department, ensuring outcomes that improve consumer health experiences and clinical standards.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, advocacy, and negotiation skills to support service delivery, enhance teamwork, and ensure positive stakeholder and family engagement.
