About the role
Deliver advanced, specialist level, independent, evidence-based respiratory function assessments in accordance with accepted professional protocols and principles, including the legal and ethical requirements maintaining client safety and comfort at all times. Provide operational and strategic direction for Clinical Measurements – Respiratory across Redcliffe Hospital, in alignment with facility, MNH and state-wide strategic plans and goals.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Maintain and develop a high level of knowledge, skills, and expertise in lung function testing through professional development activities, research, involvement in state-wide respiratory networks, ongoing clinical experience, and other learning opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the Clinical Measurements-Respiratory team, wider multi-professional teams and own knowledge and skills.
- Provide training and education to Hospital clinicians on lung function testing and interpretation including registrars, residents and medical students and provide Spirometry training with competency assessments for doctors, nurses or staff undergoing formal spirometry training.
