About the role
- Create Purchase Requisitions based off Consignment and Loan usages – for the orthopaedic department
- Coordinate the provision of Perioperative clinical equipment, including repairs and planned maintenance.
- Coordinating service requests ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Maintain accurate records, to enhance operational efficiency and undertake reporting for Surgical Service Line budget planning.
- Maintain data integrity across multiple systems (S4HANA, HTrak, DSS and spreadsheets).
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services, and workplaces.
- Coordinate repair schedules and planned maintenance activities for all clinical equipment for the Perioperative Area within Surgical Service Line including analysing service reports to determine if equipment should be replaced or repaired and liaising with areas regarding clinical equipment issues or concerns.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness in all maintenance operations.
- Maintain precise records of incoming and outgoing stock levels to ensure availability.
- Handle stock orders from external suppliers, including obtaining quotes and acquiring purchase approvals via S4 Hana and HTrak and DSS.
