About the role
Temporary full time or part time opportunities to join the Preadmission Clinic team to provide Redcliffe patients with comprehensive perioperative patient assessment, optimisation and education services. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team with an approved scope of practice delivering high quality care in both elective and acute orthopaedic outpatient clinics.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Treat patients and their families with courtesy and sympathy and treat all hospital staff and professional colleagues with respect and integrity
- Collaborate with surgical and anaesthetic teams to ensure appropriate patient assessment and perioperative optimisation, escalating for appropriate investigations and specialist review where appropriate.
- Provide advice to general practice colleagues about management of referred patients and construct comprehensive management plans to be followed by the referring practitioner.
- Maintain data quality and manage all information in accordance with legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
