Social Workers recognise the impact of the socioeconomic, cultural, psychological and political determinants on a person's health and overall wellbeing. Social work focuses on enhancing a person's social and emotional functioning through targeted specialised interventions and mobilising services and supports.  Our Social Workers work in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.

About the role:

The Social Work Advanced Clinical Lead is required to contribute to the advancement of high-quality Social Work services and optimal patient care through provision of advanced clinical services, clinical leadership for service development, quality improvement, clinical education and research activities.

This position reports operationally and professionally to the Director of Social Work and may be expected to deputise for the Director of Social Work.

About you:

  • Possession of a degree qualification in Social Work from a recognised tertiary institution and eligibility for professional membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • While not mandatory, a postgraduate qualification consistent with a senior leadership role is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated advanced level of knowledge, expertise, and skills in one or more areas of social work clinical practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, and to initiate, plan and evaluate services.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to personal education, networking, professional development, clinical and professional supervision and the development of colleagues.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $14,385 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
