Allied Health Advanced - General Medicine (Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Physiotherapist)

The Allied Health Advanced (General Medicine) will work with medical and nursing colleagues to provide clinical leadership in the interdisciplinary delivery of allied health services across General Medicine. The role will utilise advanced clinical skills to implement the General Medicine SAFEST Journey Home patient flow Framework to improve access to care, reduce delays and length of stay, and most importantly; achieve better patient outcomes.

The role will be delivered in a job-share arrangement with alternate weekend shift rostering at Rockhampton Hospital to implement the 7-day service model. Flexible full-time/part-time work arrangements will be considered for the role.

About the role:

The Allied Health Advanced (General Medicine) clinician will utilise advanced clinical skills in at least one area of allied health practice, as well as extended skills across a range of allied health disciplines to provide day to day clinical leadership in the interdisciplinary delivery of Allied Health services across emergency, acute medical and surgical, sub-acute and rehabilitation continuum of care for patients and families within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).

About you:

Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Social Work

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
