Our Community Care Units provide medium to long-term mental health support for adults aged 18-64, helping residents develop skills for independent living. The facility includes 20 self-contained units, communal spaces, and support services for health, daily living, community access, and employment. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver quality nursing care and support residents’ recovery and transition to independence.

About us:

At our Community Care Units (CCU), we provide medium to long term mental health care and rehabilitation in a supervised residential setting for people aged between 18-64 who are in recovery but require support to transition to independent living.

About the role:

  • Undertake clinical assessment and working with the inter-professional team to deliver holistic care patients and their families of the CQ Health.
  • Deliver a high standard of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation by using clinical nursing expertise.
  • Integrate nursing and health care knowledge, skills, and attitude specific to interdisciplinary learning by supporting a learning environment and participating in learning activities/opportunities.
  • Function as an effective team member and act as a team/shift coordinator as required.
  • Demonstrate ability to contribute to and work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.

About you:

  • Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated a competent level of knowledge and skill to undertake routine clinical practice with a basic understanding of recovery focussed Mental Health care.
  • Ability to deliver routine adult mental health clinical services utilising time management and prioritisation skills.
  • An ability to contribute to the professional development of self and others through education, professional networking and application of evidence-based practice.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $96,884 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
