Rockhampton Hospital provides a range of services to Rockhampton region. Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Rockhampton Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient and day surgery excellence. This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Rockhampton and rural communities.
About the role:
This position has operational oversight for patient records throughout Rockhampton Hospital facility campus. The role will hold responsibility for records management practices, data management and data quality audits within the Rockhampton facility. This position will carry out tasks delegated by the Central Queensland Health Information Manager (CQHIM) and will report to the CQHIM.
About you:
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in Health Information Management, Clinical Documentation, Records Archiving or a Management qualification or experience in the relevant field would be highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and improve administrative systems and practices and lead service improvement opportunities with demonstrated conceptual, analytical and innovative skills.
- Demonstrated high level and effective interpersonal skills in communication, consultation and negotiation with a range of Senior Clinical and Non-Clinical staff, particularly in respect to sensitive and confidential information.
- High level ability to effectively manage staff in a complex and demanding environment with demonstrated ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, antidiscrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $3,993 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $45.81 - $50.46 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
