About us:

Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health, substance, and alcohol care to a catchment of over 250,000 residents across Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, Banana, Woorabinda, and Central Highlands. The principal service center in Rockhampton manages the administration of the Mental Health Act 2016, acute inpatient facilities, and community-based services including a Step Up/Step Down facility in Gladstone and a Community Care Unit.

The Child and Youth Mental Health Service offers advanced, recovery-oriented care for children and young people (birth to 18 years) with severe and complex mental health needs, providing hospital and community-based assessment, treatment, and support to foster recovery and wellbeing for clients and their families.

About the role:

The purpose of this role is to provide high level, flexible, mental health clinical services to young people with Early Psychosis within a multidisciplinary team environment. This position will provide advice, support, education, and guidance to all staff within the multidisciplinary team with regards to assessment and treatment of young people with emerging complex disorders. The position will model expert clinical leadership and professional development, maintaining reporting relationships with the Team Leader, Clinical Director, Nursing Director and Community Programs and Allied Health Director.

About you:

Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Psychology
  • Social Work
  • Registered Nurse

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
