The Employee Relations Advisor offers a dynamic opportunity to apply your expertise in human resource management and industrial relations across a diverse range of workplace matters. You’ll provide high-level advice and case management on complex issues such as diminished performance, misconduct, and grievances, while offering expert interpretation of HR/IR policy.

The role involves problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and the development of high-quality reports, correspondence, and training initiatives while representing the organisation in external forums, contributing to strategic HR initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and ethical standards.

About us:

CQ Health's Workforce Division plays an integral role in the effective management of the people resources for our service. The Division takes the lead role in the attraction, retention, learning and development, performance, discipline, change management, safety and wellbeing, and engagement of our most important asset – “our people”. The Workforce Division unit comprises approximately 40 Human Resource (HR) practitioners who provide a high quality, client focused and value adding human resource service to management and staff throughout Central Queensland Health (CQ Health).

About the role:

Proactively deliver a range of expert activities across complex employment matters including the management of disciplinary, performance management and industrial processes; and the Queensland Health Employment Framework including policy advice, interpretation and application, complaints resolution, organisational change and establishment management (including job evaluation).

Contribute toward and lead a wide range of complex employment strategies which facilitate innovative Human Resource and CQ Health initiatives.

About you:

While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in Human Resource Management would be well regarded.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $10,921 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $53.24 - $57.92 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
