About us:
The Regional Adversity Integrated Care Clinician (RAIC) plays a key role in implementing the Tackling Regional Adversity through Connected Communities (TRACC) program. TRACC is an early intervention and outreach program that supports individuals and communities across regional, rural, and remote Queensland to better manage responses to adversity associated with drought, disaster, and other crises. The role supports individuals and communities impacted by drought, disasters, and other forms of adversity across Central Queensland.
About the role:
- The key role of the clinician is to follow the four TRACC Action Areas program delivery guide to strengthen individuals and communities' capacity to connect to support, care, and information across regional, rural, and remote Queensland to better manage responses to adversity associated with drought, disaster, and other crises.
- Provide a sound level of clinical mental health services (which may include assessment, treatment, investigation, diagnosis, consultation, health promotion, early identification/intervention, liaison, and education) within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- Provide training, support and resourcing for health workers who are likely to meet people who are at risk of suicide or are experiencing mental health issues due to adversity.
- Work in partnership with existing mental health professionals to provide outreach to people in their own environment (rural properties through to businesses, and anyone that is affected) to prioritise and provide support.
- Education to community members regarding suicidality and other mental health conditions in response to adversity from natural disasters, droughts, or other community crises.
About you:
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Registered Nurse
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $6,842 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
