About us:

Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands & Banana areas (catchment more than a population of 250,000) with services located in each area. 

Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016 and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities.  In addition, there is an Adult Step-Up Step-Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.

About the role:

To deliver efficient and confidential business and administrative support to a Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Services team to ensure optimal delivery of clinical services.

  • Chart preparation and chart maintenance, filing of medical records and associated loose sheets in accordance with the Order of Filing procedure.
  • Perform general administrative duties including, but not limited to; manage generic email and calendar accounts, booking appointments and re-scheduling of cancelled appointments, management of referrals, registering, revenue/Medicare billing forms in accordance with financial policies.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of consumers and with staff at all levels, including clinical, medical, administrative and management.
  • Ability to prepare agendas, accurately record minutes and action items.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $39,062 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $38.81 - $43.16 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
