About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS): provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area.
Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition there is a Adult Step Up Step Down facility located in Gladstone and a Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.
About the role:
The Clinical Nurse delivers quality recovery-based care at an advanced level to people living in the community who have been diagnosed as having serious mental health conditions. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, provides discipline specific case management to consumers as well as support for carers / families. The Clinical Nurse with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders in an advocacy capacity for their consumers (General Practice, Non-Government Organisations, internal CQ Health stakeholders).
About you:
The successful applicant must possess a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual nursing practicing certificate is mandatory for this position.
- While not mandatory, appointment as a Mental Health Clinical Nurse under the Mental Health Act 2016 is highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $10,992 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
