About us:
The Blood Borne Virus and Sexual Health Service (BBV&SH) is based in Rockhampton and provides, assessment, screening, diagnosis and treatment as well as education and health promotion to the communities within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS). The service has an identified focus on at risk population groups whose behaviours or social disadvantages may put them at a greater risk of contracting a blood borne virus or sexually transmissible infection.
About the role:
- Provide clinical leadership for Contact Tracing services through the application of advanced clinical knowledge, skills and competency according to contemporary practice and standards of care.
- Responsibility for the content expertise for Contract tracing in BBV&SH to provide the highest standards of safe quality care and clinical nursing practice meet the requirements for xxx services.
- Delivers high level professional and clinical leadership within legal, professional and ethical frameworks, clinical expertise and governance, operational management for the service.
- Work closely with research partners to identify opportunities for research to inform practice change and quality improvements in clinical practice.
About you:
- Mandatory qualification/s and professional registration requirements. Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a required qualification for this position.
- Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory for this position.
- Completion of or working towards a Sexual and Reproductive Health Program course approved by Queensland Health and ability to complete Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service application for recognition as an Advanced Practise Nurse within a Sexual and Reproductive Health Program to supply medications under a Drug Therapy Protocol is highly desirable.
- Further relevant post graduate tertiary qualifications.
- Delegated authority to perform the role of Contact Tracer as outlined in the Public Health Act 2005 is a requirement or willingness to obtain delegated authority. AND specific experience in STI/BBV contact tracing.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $82,105 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
