About us:

The Aged Care, Clinical and Rehabilitation Services comprises of Eventide Home, North Rockhampton Nursing Centre, Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT), Transition Care Program (TCP), and the Rehabilitation Unit.

The Rehabilitation unit is a 16-bed located on the Hospital Campus and is a specialised area of care committed to restoring and maintaining the optimum level of function of the individual and significant others, enabling them to achieve their lifestyle goals. The Rehabilitation Unit provides a 24/7 inpatient service within a purpose-built facility on the campus of Rockhampton Hospital. Services are individualised, person-focussed, goal driven, time limited and interdisciplinary.

About the role:

The Clinical Facilitator is an experienced clinician primarily accountable for supporting, orientating and mentoring graduate nurses, students, and new and existing staff. Clinical facilitation is delivered at the point of clinical care to support clinicians in achieving skill acquisitions and practice development. The role's objectives are to support advancement of nurses in line with the framework for life-long learning. The role also involves assisting staff members with training obligations, planning, facilitating and evaluating learning opportunities in partnership with the Nurse Educator (Aged Care, Clinical and Rehabilitation Services).   

About you:

  • A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position as well as current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Rehabilitation or clinical education and completion of Preceptor program would be well regarded.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $69,420 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
