About us:

The Palliative Care and Oncology units in Rockhampton provide specialised, compassionate care for patients with serious illnesses, including cancer and other life-limiting conditions. These departments focus on symptom management, emotional and psychological support, and improving quality of life. They operate within a multidisciplinary framework, offering personalised care plans tailored to each patient's needs, and serve as a vital resource for patients and their families throughout their treatment and end-of-life journeys.

About the role:

The Business Practice Improvement Officer (BPIO) is responsible for monitoring, reviewing and improving the quality of health activity data collected and associated processes within Rockhampton Hospital and peripheral sites within Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS) with the aim of assuring quality health information is reported in line with statewide and local Palliative Care and Oncology Key Performance Indicator requirements.

About you:

  • While not mandatory, the following would be well regarded:
    • Experience in Statewide information Management systems.
    • Experience with using Power BI.
    • Experience in project management.
    • Experience in business analytics, information system management and inpatient and/or outpatient business processes.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $148,323 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $61.20 - $65.56 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
