About us:
Central Queensland Mental Heatlh Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, Biloela, Moura, Woorabinda and Central Highlands districts and adult patients of the Central West Hospital and Health Service (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000).
The Acute Care Services provides a specialised mental health service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for consumers of the Rockhampton and broader Central Queensland Hospital and Health Services areas.
About the role:
- The Co-Responder will work collaboratively with QAS to enhance the capacity of all services to effectively respond to individuals who may have a mental illness and come to the attention of emergency services.
- Demonstrates expert specialist knowledge, experience and clinical skills in mental state assessment, risk assessment, referral and the application of the Mental Health Act (2016).
- The Co-Responder will act as a refence point for other clinicians in the Mental Health Service regarding liaison with QAS and complex community mental health assessments and brief intervention.
- Participate and contribute to research activities and evaluation of the Model required within the work unit.
About you:
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Registered Nurse
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h. (Nurse Grade 7)
- An hourly rate between $73.12 - $76.30 p.h. (HP5)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
