About us:

The 30-bed interim care unit located at Bolton Clarke Sunset Ridge Residential Aged Care Facility is dedicated to care for suitably admitted maintenance patients, operating 24-hours per day. The unit is split into two wings Seahorse and Starfish. Seahorse is a secure area and Starfish is non secure area. Interim Care is for people who no longer require care in an acute hospital setting, are unable to return to their own home and need support to progress to a Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or transition to the community with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports. 

About the role:

  • Assist with meals/fluids which may include serving food, collecting used trays, taking meal orders, feeding designated patients.
  • Promote and encourage optimal independence (including mobility) for residents.
  • Restock supplies and identify/report stock deficits.
  • Undertake cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean working area including cleaning spills, body fluids, equipment and disposal of soiled linen and wastes.
  • Maintain effective interpersonal and communication skills with all members of the health team and customers of CQHHS.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate an understanding of the mission and values of the organisation.

About you:

  • Previous experience in residential care or a health service would be well regarded.
  • Have a Certificate III Aged Care (or equivalent) or are undertaking and successfully completed the second semester of the first year of a pre-registration university program in a nursing qualification approved by the Nursing and midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $82,239 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $33.20 - $36.35 p.h. (Permanent)
  • An hourly rate between $40.83 - $44.71 p.h. (Including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
