About us:
The Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health, substance, and alcohol related care to the residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area. Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, in addition being the location of Acute Adult Inpatient facilities and an Adult Community Care Unit.
About the role:
The Psychologist Senior (Prison Mental Health Services) provides high level clinical services and leadership within the multidisciplinary Prison Mental Health Service (PMHS) team. The role is responsible for forensic mental health care through timely and responsive service provision required to meet the objectives of the PMHS.
About you:
- The successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution and full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate.
- While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016 would be highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
