About us:

Mount Morgan Multipurpose Health Service is a twenty-four-bed rural health facility, 40kms from Rockhampton Health Service. The Mount Morgan Multipurpose Health Service now provides health care for clients residing in the Mount Morgan and surrounding areas, which includes Poison Creek, Bouldercombe, Wowan, Dululu, Gracemere, Kabra and Westwood.

About the role:

The role of an Operational Services Officer is to provide nonclinical support to the Mount Morgan Hospital in the areas of Porterage, Cleaning, Food Services, Fire Safety, Linen, Waste Management, Yards and Gardening.

About you:

  • Food Services - Required to operate individually through a variety of duties including Meals-on-Wheels but not limited to salad, sandwich and vegetable preparation, plating of meals, beverage service, delivery of meals and client contact, cleaning, and stock management.
  • Cleaning – Undertake all cleaning duties in all areas of the hospital, staff accommodation, community health house, and rented house to infection control standards.
  • Porterage – Responsible for the transport of clients and goods and assistance in patient care, for example, showering patients, general hygiene (including shaving), exchange gas cylinders.
  • Linen – Supply of clean and collection of soiled linen and sewing duties and personal laundry of long stay patients within the Mount Morgan Hospital.
  • Waste Management – Collection and removal of waste from within the Mount Morgan Hospital.
  • Mowing and Gardening.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $31,651 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $31.24 - $33.33 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
