In this role you will contribute to the leadership of a small team of motivated professionals with a passion for safety and health regulation in the resources sector. Reporting to the Director, you will play a key role in supporting RSHQ's Executive Leadership Team deliver on RSHQ's objectives, including its strategic plan.

Working across a diverse range of policy issues and legislation, you will be equipped to excel in this role if you have a strong background in policy and legislation, a solutions-focused approach, great leadership skills, and a positive attitude. The team provides policy advice and develops legislation across the agency on a broad range of matters and this includes interpreting complex legislation and working with coal, mineral mines, petroleum and gas, and explosives inspectorates to identify policy issues and recommend innovative options to resolve them using a risk-based data driven approach that is aimed at reducing the rates of serious accidents and fatalities.
