Quality and Compliance Officer (Training)

Join Simtars as a Training Quality and Compliance Officer.
We are seeking a proactive professional to support our RTO in meeting national standards, legislation and the VET Quality Framework.
In this role, you will develop and improve policies and procedures, support audits, maintain evidence and compliance systems, investigate complaints, and provide clear, practical advice to senior leaders. You will work closely with training coordinators and stakeholders to embed quality across daily operations.
You will bring experience in the RTO or VET sector, strong communication skills, and familiarity with systems such as aXcelerate.
A TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or relevant assessment units) and a current driver's licence are desirable.

Are you passionate about lifting the quality of training delivery and ensuring excellence in compliance? Simtars' Registered Training Organisation (RTO), part of the Training, Testing and Certification Centre (TTCC), is seeking a committed Training Quality and Compliance Officer to help ensure our training programs meet the highest standards of quality, integrity and regulatory compliance.
In this pivotal role, you will drive the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our quality, risk and compliance systems. You will ensure our RTO meets all obligations under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations and relevant legislation. With a strong focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, including RTO Managers, Training Coordinators and Simtars leadership, to support high-quality training outcomes across our organisation.
Your responsibilities will include developing policies and procedures, managing internal audits, monitoring compliance activities, maintaining evidence and documentation systems, investigating complaints, and providing expert advice to senior management. You will play a key role in interpreting regulatory changes and translating them into practical, actionable guidance for staff.
We are seeking a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills, someone who can translate complex standards into practical, everyday application, build effective stakeholder relationships, and support a culture where quality is embedded across operations. Experience in a training or RTO environment, a sound understanding of the VET sector, and familiarity with learning management systems such as aXcelerate are desirable. A formal qualification in TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent, or relevant assessment units (e.g. TAEASS412 and TAEASS413), along with a willingness to work towards the full qualification, are desirable. A current driver's licence is also desirable.
