Are you passionate about ethical decision-making and improving integrity systems?

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Governance, you will provide strategic and operational advice on integrity matters across RSHQ's people, frameworks and systems to support ethical, accountable and impartial decision-making.

You will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the integrity framework, manage complaints and investigations, and work with stakeholders to strengthen integrity practices across the organisation.

Resources Safety & Health Queensland (RSHQ) is the independent regulator of worker safety and health in Queensland's mining, quarrying, petroleum, gas and explosives industries.

We focus on protecting workers and communities impacted by resources operations and explosives use, working with industry and stakeholders to reduce risk and promote safe, sustainable practices.

About the role
This is an opportunity to take a lead role in shaping and strengthening integrity and ethical practice within a contemporary, purpose-driven regulator.

As Manager, Integrity, you will oversee the delivery of RSHQ's integrity framework and provide expert advice on complex and sensitive matters, including misconduct, complaints and investigations. Working closely with leaders across the organisation, you will influence decision-making, support consistent and fair outcomes, and contribute to a strong culture of integrity, accountability and continuous improvement.

The role offers variety and challenge, with exposure to complex casework, stakeholder engagement across government and industry, and opportunities to contribute to broader governance initiatives.

We are seeking a capable and pragmatic professional who brings sound judgement, integrity and a solutions-focused mindset.

You will have:

  • Experience in integrity, misconduct, complaints and/or investigation functions.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and public sector frameworks.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and complex matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive approach to improving systems, processes and organisational outcomes.

What will set you apart:

  • Experience managing or supporting misconduct or corruption investigations.
  • Confidence providing clear, balanced advice in high-risk situations.
  • Strong analytical, policy and report writing capability.
  • Ability to build capability and influence ethical practices across an organisation.
  • Relevant qualifications in investigations, law, governance (desirable).

Essential / desirable requirements

No mandatory qualifications are required for this position. However, relevant tertiary education, training and experience in complaint and investigation management, law, government policy, governance or business management would be highly regarded.
