Team Leader Compliance and Enforcement

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA). This is an exciting new role to lead and support the Compliance and Enforcement function, by overseeing a team of Officers to investigate potential offences under the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 and drive proactive compliance programs.
This is a 12-months fixed-term, full-time position, located in the Brisbane CBD.

The role of Team Leader Compliance and Enforcement is to lead and mentor a high performing Compliance and Enforcement team. In this role, you will be managing a multi-skilled workforce investigating alleged offences and undertake proactive compliance monitoring with a range of stakeholders to achieve the goals set out in the RTA's Strategic Plan and Compliance and Enforcement Action Plan. This position will also manage a high-volume caseload and contribute to process development and improvement.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a high performing team through effective coaching, mentoring and professional development strategies
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise workloads while managing staff and operational activities, particularly within a multi-skilled team with fluctuating caseloads
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft and implement procedures and work instructions
- Experience in Compliance and Enforcement or regulatory environments is desirable.
