Senior Governance, Risk and Compliance Officer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Officer to join the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA). This role is required to work collaboratively to support a multi-disciplinary team incorporating governance, compliance, risk, privacy, procurement and contract management functions.
This position is a permanent, full-time role and is located in the Brisbane CBD with generous flexible working arrangements.

The role of Senior GRC Officer will operate within the Financial and Assurance Services business unit of the RTA to implement and oversee the RTA's governance, risk and compliance frameworks, ensuring the RTA's adherence to both external regulations and internal policies.
To be successful you will need:
- Experience managing and contributing to the review and continuous improvement of governance, risk and/or compliance frameworks
- Previous experience conducting Business Continuity Management activities
- Demonstrated experience managing privacy frameworks including conducting privacy breach assessments
- Experience supporting an internal audit function including coordination with internal stakeholders and independent assurance providers
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proven capability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience preparing Board and Audit and Risk Committee documentation and reports.
