We are seeking an experienced Senior Advisor Health, Safety and Wellbeing to join the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA). This role is crucial for promoting a safe and healthy work environment at the RTA.

This position is a part-time (0.6 FTE), permanent role and is located in the Brisbane CBD.

This role will join a fun, dedicated and passionate team of professionals and will be fast paced, diverse and exciting!

The purpose of this position is to provide a range of services involving the delivery of programs to support the achievement of the RTA's operational, cultural and strategic objectives. This is achieved through the design and implementation of effective solutions, processes, policies and programs that foster a safe, healthy and inclusive high-performing workforce. This role is also responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining an effective workplace giving program that supports the RTA's charitable mission.

To be successful you will need:

  • Proven experience in building and sustaining productive stakeholder relationships and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes for the organisation which supports a positive Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to identify and drive the continual improvement of work, health and safety processes
  • The ability to work under pressure within a high-performing team in an environment of competing priorities and demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks within strict deadlines
  • The ability to conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and develop strategies for their mitigation
  • Contemporary understanding of health and safety legislation, codes of practice, as well as industry precedents and trends
  • Proven experience providing accurate, timely, and professional advice based on current Directives, legislation, policies and procedures
  • A certificate IV in Work Health Safety is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in Graduated Return to Work case management best practice will be highly regarded.
