You will manage incoming and outgoing executive correspondence requests to ensure accurate, timely and relevant information is provided in accordance with departmental guidelines and processes.
What you'll do
• Coordinate and support standard business and administrative procedures ensuring systems are effectively communicated and applied across the branch.
• Ensure that significant issues or events, often of a confidential and sensitive political nature, are managed effectively, determining the extent to which matters should be escalated and collaborating with the most appropriate groups and resources internal and external to achieve required outcomes.
• Use an effective records management system such as Records Manager, to implement efficient correspondence workflows and tracking.
• Collate, analyse, and prepare branch performance reports with respect to finance, human resources, procurement, and correspondence activity across the branch.
• Ensure good stakeholder relationships are maintained and non-compliance of key performance indicators are escalated to the Branch Manager for resolution.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Proven ability to provide expert advice to managers and staff in the delivery of business services and the measurement of business performance.
• Demonstrated professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to apply expert knowledge of policies and practices when communicating with officers at all levels.
• Demonstrated commitment to work improvement and experience in implementing changes to improve work practices and service delivery.
• Knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of business support and business performance measurement and reporting procedures in a large complex public sector service delivery organisation.
• Ability to analyse business performance data, identify trends and exceptions, and identify options to achieve required performance levels.
