An exciting opportunity exists for a Coordinator – Medical Workforce and Allocations Scheduling who will plan, coordinate and distribute within the Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS) the scheduling and allocation to specialty/location of all medical workforce including Senior Medical Officers, Principal House Officers (PHOs), Registrars and Resident Medical Officers (RMOs/intern and PGY1,2 & 3), including coordinating emergent relief, leave relief and on-call in line with provisions of Industrial Awards and the Health Service requirements and in collaboration with medical staff who undertake draft rosters as part of their role .

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Mental Health and Specialised services is responsible for effectively managing the PHO, Registrar, and RMO workforce of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS). The SCHHS has expanded significantly over the past year, and the responsibilities of the office also include recruitment processes for RMOs and SMOs. The role is also responsible for coordinating locum engagement, term rotations and leave management.
Key Responsibilities include:
- In consultation with the Clinical Director and Medical Directors, manage, facilitate, and coordinate, the appropriate clinical term rosters and allocations including collaborating on developing the out-of-hours rosters for all SMO's, PHO, Registrars, and RMOs within the Sunshine Coast University Hospital ensuring cost-effective practices and adherence to award conditions whilst taking into consideration SMO, PHO, Registrar, and RMO training and organisational needs.
- Manage leave relief, emergent roster changes and shift swaps for SMOs, PHO, Registrars, and RMOs, providing notification to payroll and key stakeholders.
- Effectively coordinate challenging roster shortages at short notice.
Remuneration value up to $114,177 p.a., comprising salary between $90,832- $100,071 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO4).
