An exciting opportunity exists for a Psychologist - Senior within the Persistent Pain Management Service. As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver high level allied health clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health. The Sunshine Coast Persistent Pain Management Service model of care includes the Calderdale Framework. It is an expectation that all staff within the service will engage with this framework and undertake skill sharing, appropriate delegation and, where required, competency-based training.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Psychologist - Senior within the Persistent Pain Management Service. As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, deliver high level allied health clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health. The Sunshine Coast Persistent Pain Management Service model of care includes the Calderdale Framework. It is an expectation that all staff within the service will engage with this framework and undertake skill sharing, appropriate delegation and, where required, competency-based training.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver independent high level clinical psychology assessments and individual counselling to a diverse range of people with persistent pain. Deliver clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Undertake clinical governance activities, such as the development of clinical practices and guidelines that support the continuum of care.
- Provide clinical advice and education to professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery, utilising high level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced psychology practitioners, and students, to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within the psychology and persistent pain management team, providing Performance and Development Plans (PDP), as delegated.
Remuneration value up to $157 359 p.a., comprising salary between $128 169 - $137 918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4).
