An exciting opportunity exists for a Sonographer Advanced - Vascular, to deliver advanced Vascular Sonography/clinical services and clinical leadership to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) and Queensland Health, across a multidisciplinary team and at the service level.

Vascular Sonographer clinicians within Surgical Services work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff will be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within Sunshine Coast Health Service as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff.  

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrated ability to deliver an advanced level of clinical skill in one or more areas of a complex nature with the ability to independently apply specialist and novel judgement to meet the needs of patients across the continuum of care.
• Provide high-level clinical support and advice to staff within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) with the management and problem solving regarding clinically complex patients.
• Possess advanced clinical leadership abilities and facilitates the integration of services across specialties within a clinical area to coordinate the delivery of effective Vascular Sonography services across the SCHHS.

Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $121, 003p.a., comprising salary rates: $73.12 - $76.30 p.h.employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (Fixed term temporary part time for 12 months, 60.8 hrs p.f.).
