An exciting opportunity exists for a Physiotherapist - Advanced to deliver advanced level, Vestibular Physiotherapy clinical services to patients of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health service, supporting professional leadership and clinical training in vestibular physiotherapy as designated by the Director of Physiotherapy. The role requires high level communication, and service provision with multidisciplinary teams and specialty teams. 

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver advanced clinical and consultancy services within the following clinics: First Point of contact ENT/Neurology Vestibular Allied health service, Secondary contact Vestibular outpatient service, and the Neurology Dizzy clinic in accordance with accepted professional practices, legal and ethical requirements with a high degree of independence.
  • Provide high-level clinical advice within area of expertise to clinicians, professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional standards, service initiatives, service needs and clinical service development.
  • Collaborate at a work unit/service area level and/or across disciplines to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying conflict resolution skills where necessary.
  • Act as a clinical reference point for Vestibular Physiotherapy along with other Advanced Physiotherapists with Vestibular responsibilities.

Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $172 615 p.a., comprising salary rates: $73.12 - $76.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (Fixed term temporary part time position available for 12 months, 32hrs p.f.).
