The common objective of the Pharmacy Service is that patients derive maximum benefit from medications whilst being exposed to minimum risk. 

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver specialist Clinical Pharmacy services, providing expert clinical knowledge, advice, professional judgement, and leadership in critical clinical problem solving.
  • Provide and be individually accountable for advanced complex clinical decision making through high level knowledge and interpretation of evidence-based practice within a complex and critical specialty service.
  • Provide specialist clinical advice and judgement to line management and other relevant multidisciplinary team managers on the development, implementation, monitoring and review of complex Clinical Pharmacy Services, Professional Standards and Departmental Policies and Procedures.
  • Manage the designated clinical workload of the Pharmacy work unit including operational management and resource allocation, prioritising tasks within set broad guidelines that meet departmental, legislative, AdPha (Advanced Pharmacy Australia) and ‘Pharmaceutical Review' requirements for clinical pharmacy services.

Remuneration value up to $172 615p.a., comprising salary between $144 991 - $151 289 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5).
