An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist - Advanced to deliver advanced Occupational Therapy clinical services and clinical leadership to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health, across a multidisciplinary team and at the service level. The Advanced Occupational Therapist role in Gerontology provides direct clinical care, clinical governance, and delegated line management responsibilities within the allocated team. This role will work clinically in the Acute and Restorative Care (ARC) Unit.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver an advanced level of clinical skill in one or more areas of a complex nature with the ability to independently apply specialist and novel judgement to meet the needs of patients across the continuum of care.
- Provide high-level clinical support and advice to staff within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) with the management and problem solving regarding clinically complex patients.
- Possess advanced clinical leadership abilities and facilitates the integration of services across specialties within a clinical area to coordinate the delivery of effective Occupational Therapy services across the SCHHS.
- Provide high-level clinical advice within area of expertise to clinicians, professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding professional standards, service initiatives, service needs and clinical service development.
Remuneration value up to $103 569 p.a., comprising salary rates $73.12- $76.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (part time position, 45.6 hrs p.f.).
