An exciting opportunity exists for a Workplace Rehabilitation Advisor who is responsible for providing comprehensive advice and coordinating activities related to all aspects of rehabilitation and return to work services, including end to end case management of complex rehabilitation cases across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. An exciting opportunity exists for a Workplace Rehabilitation Advisor who is responsible for providing comprehensive advice and coordinating activities related to all aspects of rehabilitation and return to work services, including end to end case management of complex rehabilitation cases across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. The role will provide advice on best practice rehabilitation and return to work strategies with a focus on improving outcomes for injured/ill workers including minimising time spend away from work, expediting recovery, decreasing social and financial impacts of injury and minimising the impact of workplace injury on work teams.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage complex rehabilitation cases including consultation with injured or ill workers, Workforce Advisors, medical and allied health practitioners, and other relevant stakeholders to drive early intervention measures in managing complex cases from end to end and the provision of detailed suitable duties plans, medical correspondence and executive briefs.
- Provide contemporary expert advice and support for the management of rehabilitation within the context of legislative / regulatory and SCHHS rehabilitation frameworks.
- Manage the requirements for all SCHHS functional capacity evaluations, worksite assessments and ergonomic assessments and other specialised rehabilitation services.
- Support Line Managers in educating and building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including doctors, specialists, WorkCover and Insurers) to ensure that return to work strategies and plans incorporate the worker's functional capacity.
Remuneration value up to $131 052 p.a., comprising salary between $105 568 - $114 861 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO5) (Fixed Term Temporary position, 76 hrs p.f. available for 12 months).
