We're excited to welcome a Director of Nutrition and Dietetics to the Allied Health Service Delivery Model.

The Director of Nutrition and Dietetics provides high level leadership, strategic direction and clinical leadership for nutrition and dietetics services within the Sunshine Coast Health (SCH) in alignment with the SCH and statewide strategic and national goals and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • This position requires you to adhere to National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and the Sunshine Coast Health Safe Care Framework, which has been developed in collaboration with staff, consumers and key stakeholders to enable our vision of health and wellbeing through person-centred care.
  • Provide expert leadership, strategic focus, managerial direction, authoritative and expert advice on a range of professional and policy issues to the Executive Director Allied Health and respective service managers across the SCH, including Executive to achieve policy and operational alignment with SCH strategic directions, policies, and professional standards for the effective and safe delivery of Nutrition and Dietetics (including food services) services.
  • Provide high-level operational management, business acumen, leadership and strategic development of the Nutrition and Dietetics Services. The role is responsible for all aspects of operational management including cost centres and is accountable for the administration, direction, and control of the relevant assets (including equipment) and finances of Nutrition and Dietetics within the AH-SDM as per the financial delegations and required key performance indicators. This includes Health Promotion Officers.

Remuneration value up to $190,788 p.a., comprising salary between $161,540- $167,217 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP6).
